Robot Accuracy

Industrial robots are built for precision — but that precision doesn’t automatically make it to the part. Even with factory mastering and rigid tooling, real-world production introduces errors: fixture stack-up, mechanical tolerances, and misaligned assumptions about where the robot thinks it's working. That’s not a flaw in the robot — it’s a breakdown in how its motion is anchored.

Mattrology™ doesn’t guess — it anchors motion to verified geometry, restoring the robot’s built-in accuracy where it actually matters: at the weld, the fixture, or the part — not just where the factory defined it.

Guess less. Solve more.

Mastering Drift Is Inevitable — We Bring It Back Under Control

A robot’s precision relies on mastering: the alignment of each joint’s encoder to a known mechanical zero, enabling the controller to accurately calculate the tool center point (TCP) in space.

But after a motor swap, encoder loss or crash, that alignment is compromised. Even small deviations can cause TCP errors of 5 mm or more. Running to witness marks doesn't restore true zero — it only gets you close. Touch-up becomes unavoidable, especially in high-accuracy applications.

Mattrology™ delivers a better solution. We enable fast, field-ready recovery of usable geometry — without OEM tools or visual guesswork. Whether recovering from downtime or prepping for relocation, Mattrology™ restores reliable accuracy with minimal disruption — putting performance back where it counts.

Other Systems Rely on Ideal Conditions — We Don’t

Camera-based systems require perfect lighting, rigid setups, and calibrated environments to estimate the tool’s position. But they don’t restore true robot geometry. If the tool is bumped or replaced, re-calibration is needed — and vision systems can’t recover from motor or encoder failure.

CAD-derived TCPs assume theoretical perfection, but real-world deviations in tooling or setup often lead to misalignment.

Cameras and laser trackers track motion. Mattrology corrects geometry.

Even Absolute Accuracy (AA) robots still require a manually taught TCP. They’re delivered without EOATs, and tool offsets must be taught manually after installation — often using laser metrology systems. Until you locate the TCP and align the robot’s base to the real-world part, your programs won’t hit target. AA gives you good bones — but not a finished skeleton.

Laser measurement systems can be highly accurate, but they require careful setup and aren’t practical for fast recovery or shop-floor use.

Mattrology™ doesn’t track the robot from the outside — it corrects it from the inside.

Camera and laser-based systems rely on external observation, assuming the robot’s internal geometry — link lengths, joint offsets, and EOAT stack-up — is perfectly accurate. But small variances in adapter plates, wrist spacers, or tool mounting create internal misalignments that external systems can’t see or solve.

These tolerances compound through the kinematic chain — especially at extended reach — pushing the tool center several millimeters off target, even when the robot appears to be “on path.” A 2 mm misalignment at the flange can cause 10–12 mm errors at the TCP by the time you reach the part.

Mattrology solves at the source — calibrating geometry from the endpoint in. It doesn’t rely on camera images, CAD files, or factory assumptions. It teaches the robot where it actually is, not where it thinks it is.

The result: usable, repeatable accuracy — restored without OEM tools, sensors, or lab conditions. Mattrology fits within the workflow of a standard robotics team and can be deployed without disrupting production.

Unleash Precision Where Your Robot Needs It Most

    Early Adopters: Built Different.

We’re not for everyone. But if this sounds like you — we should talk

We’re not launching it to the mass market (yet).
We’re seeking the right early adopters — the kind who want more than just a marginal gain.
You’re here because you're already ahead. We’re here to take you further.

    Is This You?

Are you tired of touching up points?
If you’re done re-teaching OLPs during commissioning — or adjusting the same path after every change or shutdown — let’s talk.

Need the flexibility to move tools between stations?
If you want to run the same OLP across different robotic cells — without re-teaching — we give you that freedom.

Win the battle of drift and touch-up.
If robot downtime, tool bumps, or encoder failures cost you money or time, we solve that — fast.

    Work in real-world conditions.

If your floor doesn’t always have perfect lighting, or zero-change setups — you're our kind of customer.

    Need to scale or standardize?
If you're growing, deploying new lines, or managing multiple integrators — you understand the value of a repeatable, field-proven process.

Are you done with black boxes?

If you're frustrated by OEM tools that don’t tell you what went wrong — or only work inside their walled garden — you’re ready for Mattrology™.

Aren’t afraid to influence the future.
If you see potential to shape the tools you depend on — and you're willing to offer feedback in exchange for early access and pricing — let’s go.

    What Early Adopters Get

    • Access to the latest capabilities before full release

    • Technical collaboration with the Mattrology™ team

    • Pilot pricing and long-term advantages for deployment

    • Support integrating Mattrology™ into your own ecosystem — whether you're an end-user or integrator

    The Fine Print

    We’re not offering free trials.
    We’re not chasing anyone.
We’re building long-term relationships with technical and operational leaders who get it.

If that’s you — let’s start the conversation.

    About Mattrology Robotics

    Our Mission

At Mattrology™, we’re redefining robotic calibration and mastering recovery. Backed by six issued patents and additional patents pending, our sensorless process realigns the robot to the original OLP — restoring true geometry after maintenance, tool changes, or motor failure. No extra software. No cameras. Just fast, accurate recovery that keeps production running as intended.
